Leases and Management: The initial leases are usually 6 months to 12 months and then may be an extended amount of time eg 5 years - remember that your property is registered with the Federal Govt for lease for 20 years from the date your initial tenant moves into the property. Add to this a furniture package of $10,000 and upgrades of $5000 - these expenses may not be applicable - but we want you to be aware of the maximum potential expenses you could incur before your property is fully tenanted and you earn income!
