Buchan is historical timber town nestled in the Buchan Valley, surrounded by national parks and farmland. It's only around fifty-five kilometres drive to Lakes Entrance and Gippsland Lakes for beaches and water activities or take a four-wheel drive down many of the forest tracks nearby. Travel north from Buchan along the Snowy River National Park to Little River Gorge and Mckillops Bridge which crosses the Snowy River and meanders past the Errinundra National Park through to Orbost.
