A record sale was made over Christmas by new agent on the block, Jay Singh. Sold at $770,000 through a private sale, 8 Suarez Place, Beckenham, had previously sold in 2017 for $328,000.
The 4 bed, 2 bath is a large 309 square metre house on a super-size 562 square metre block which is ideal for growing families.
Welcoming this listing with perseverance, Mr Singh, of The Agency, challenged himself by accepting a price range from the owners that he wasn’t initially comfortable with.
When the sellers reached out to him, they had already consulted other agents in the area and were unhappy with their advised pricing. After seeing the property himself, Mr Singh’s perspective was similar to the other agents, much to the dismay of the sellers.
The owners had a very specific goal in terms of achieving a specific price“, said Mr Singh, “they were moving interstate and said if they can’t achieve that price figure which they were hoping to achieve, they would not be able to support their transaction of buying interstate.
Finally, after he and the sellers explored the potential of renting it out, Mr Singh put himself to the test and agreed to the sellers’ initial listing price.
The result was successful for all parties. 8 Suarez Place, Beckenham, was sold after the first open house and at a record price for the suburb. It’s a clear sign of the suburb’s potential growth.
Currently on a winning streak, Mr Singh sold five more properties in the same month.
