Drawers will also come in handy when you need to store nappies, bibs, and the other essential items that you won’t want just laying around.
Changing mat
A changing mat is more of a gift for the parents than anything. It makes changing the baby a lot easier and faster.
You can also double the chest as a changing table but be aware of the risks involved.
Pram
Having a pram handy in your baby’s nursery can save you a whole lot of storage trouble. It can be kept out of the way of other rooms in the house and add to the aesthetic of the nursery.
Nappies, of course
Babies are known for crying and making accidents, which is why a closet full of nappies is as essential as it gets. Having an ample number of nappies and wipes already in the baby’s nursery is convenient and makes things easier.
Most new parents are never prepared for the onslaught of nappies they need to have around the house, so storing them in one place is helpful.
Decor
Although it may not exactly be essential, having a nice decor for a nursery can be a gift for the parents. In a room where all you do is take care of a crying, hungry baby, it would be nice to have a soothing atmosphere.
