Bahrs Scrub is a suburb in the Logan City area of Brisbane, Queensland. It is a rural/residential area located 4 kms south-west of Beenleigh. It is situated 50 kms north-west of the Gold Coast and 40 kms south-east of Brisbane.

Suburb Description
The eastern boundary of Bahrs Scrub is Beenleigh-Beaudesert Road, which adjoins the suburbs of Windaroo and Mount Warren Park. The Windaroo Creek, a tributary flowing east into the Albert River, has its headwaters in Bahrs Scrub.
Bahrs Scrub is identified in the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2009-2031 as a Local Development Area to accommodate future residential growth.
The plan guides the development for the area over the next 20 years and proposes residential precincts for approximately 4,400 new dwellings to house around 10,100 people, centres for an estimated 7,650 m² of retail, commercial and community uses, strategic public transport routes through the area, more than 60% of the area to be managed or protected to maintain environmental values and environmental offsets throughout the plan area.
Further west in Bahrs Scrub there are rural/residential acreages, some with remnant rainforest scrub. The Buccan Conservation Park is just beyond Bahrs Scrub’s western boundary.
Facilities in Bahrs Scrub
There is one school in Bahrs Scrub, Windaroo Valley High School. Further education facilities are available in the surrounding area. The Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE is located in nearby Meadowbrook, which is accessible via the train station in Beenleigh that also runs frequent services to Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Logan Hospital is also located in Meadowbank. Residents are within commuting distance of Griffiths University, via the Pacific Motorway.
There is an IGA located in nearby Windaroo. Nearby Beenleigh is home to three shopping centres with Coles Supermarkets, Woolworths, BI-LO, Big W and Aldi, and there are a number of medical centres available in neighbouring suburbs.

At the time of the 2011 Census, there were 1,512 people in Bahrs Scrub. Of these 48.2% were male and 51.8% were female. The median age of people in the suburb is 32 years, while children aged 0 – 14 years made up 20.9% of the population and people aged 65 years and over made up 7.3% of the population.
