Former Yellow Wiggle Sam Moran has sold his inner-west Sydney home at auction over the weekend for $1,835,000.
Quite fittingly, the renovated Rozelle cottage has a bright yellow front door.
Whether it’s a nod to Moran’s former spot in the world’s most popular children’s band or a cheeky marketing move, it only adds to the charm of the cottage.
Moran and his wife Lynn Stuckey made a tidy $880,000 profit from the sale – they paid $955,000 for it in 2011.
Three buyers were registered for the auction, while only two were active competitors. It was announced officially on the market when bids reached $1,835,000, which it eventually sold for.
The double fronted cottage has a large entertaining deck, three bedrooms, a level, grassed garden, one bathroom and a double garage large enough to fit a big red car or two.
According to The Sunday Telegraph, the investor buyer of the cottage hopes to get $950 to $1,000 a week in rent.
Moran left The Wiggles in 2011 and now fronts the pre-school aged TV show Play Along With Sam.
