Backed by more than eight years’ experience in the real estate industry in Sydney, Matt is looking to share his enthusiasm for the property market with the local community. Matt kick-started a career in property in 2006 at the family-owned and operated Newton Real Estate based in Sydney. Beginning a career in property at the height of the Global Financial Crisis is what Matt fondly refers to as being ‘the very best start in real estate’. “It was a challenging market; it was standard for properties to be listed for sale for four months or more. As a young agent trying to forge a career in real estate it was a steep learning curve, but one that has been a huge benefit to my career,” said Matt. Since joining local Kingscliff agencies in early 2013, Matt has firmly established himself as a valuable member of the team and has already racked up an impressive sales history. Matt prides himself on his open approach to dealing with people, strong negotiation skills, and deep understanding of presenting and marketing homes. He is well-known by clients for his drive to go above and beyond the call of duty, delivering sales results far beyond expectations. Throughout his career, Matt has been recognised for his dedication and professional achievements winning the ARERA Rookie of the Year award in 2008, and being named finalist in the ARERA Rising Star of the Year category in 2010 and ARERA Agent Achiever of the Year in 2011. Relocating to Kingscliff in February 2012, Matt has quickly grown fond of the area and the opportunities it offers his young family. He has long held ties with this coastal region, regularly holidaying here as a child with his family. “Kingscliff is an idyllic atmosphere for living a nice family life close to the beach. There is such a sense of community in the area and I’m really excited about what the region has to offer tourists and locals alike,” said Matt. A local member of Tweed Tigers Junior AFL Club, Matt has enjoyed becoming a part of the community and meeting some of the faces and personalities of Kingscliff.
