The first thing I'd want is a renovated house, not too big, not too much to look after, because I'd want to spend most of my time outside, and I think I've found one. Let's go have a look.

I'd also want a place where I could have my own cows and raise my own food, and I'd also want a spring fed freshwater creek that I have pumping rights from, so I can water all the cattle and keep all the fields green year round if I wanted to. Wonder where I'd find that.
And I definitely want a large five bay shed, two of which are lockable, far enough away from the house that I could make as much noise as possible and wouldn't upset the wife. But I'd also want a heap of land, like over a hundred acres of land, so I can drive my buggy around, the neighbors can make as much noise as they want, and I'd never hear them. Hmm, wonder where I could get that.
And if I was really thinking about retirement, I'd want somewhere close by where I could have a social outing with my mates, somewhere like a golf course that's got lawn bowls and, I don't know, a tennis court and a pool. I don't know where I'd find that either.
Now, the biggest problem is when you get over a hundred acres and you finally get the renovated property and you get the freshwater creek, you can never have a pub just at the end of your street.
The other thing that I'd want if I had a large property is I'd want to have fuel close by, as well as a convenience store. I don't know if that's even possible.
And I think to myself, if I get the renovated house, not too big, not too much to look after, but I still get the big sheds not too close to the house so I can make as much noise as I like, and I get the almost 130 acres, and it's got the freshwater creek that I can pump from, and it's got the cattle yards, and if it's got the pub at the end of the street, and it's got fuel nearby, and it's got a golf course nearby, there's no way it's near the beach and a boat ramp where I can go fishing or crabbing.
Hold on a second, this place does have everything.
I'll tell you what, I'll make you a deal. If you can book in and have an inspection and buy this place faster than I can convince my wife to, it's yours.
