About this Property
This well-positioned block offers a private, peaceful setting with council-owned conservation land on two sides and conservation zoning directly across the road. You’ll only ever have one neighbour, giving this property a naturally quiet and bushland feel that’s increasingly hard to find.
The land is fully fenced, flat to gently sloping, and mostly cleared with just a couple of mature trees. Power is already connected—saving you approximately $4,000—and the property comes with two structures plus a garden shed. Use the structures for shelter and secure storage while planning your build, incorporate them into your future design, or sell them later if not required.
Please note: Buyers are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence regarding any future use or approvals required.
Situated in central Lamb Island on a sealed road with footpath, you're only 250 metres from the Recreation Club and community facilities (meals, trivia nights, community garden, tennis court, off-leash dog area, swimming spot, BBQ area, playground, library and the Residents’ Association Hall). The ferry terminal and convenience store are just 1km away.
With an elevation of around 15 metres above sea level, the block has no flood or drainage concerns. Town water is available on the same side of the street, and NBN access is also available.
Land is selling quickly on Lamb Island, and opportunities like this—private, well-located, and with valuable infrastructure already in place—don’t last long.
For more information, to arrange an inspection, transport to the property, and a short tour of Lamb Island, contact Resident Agent Kat Gawlik – Redlands Coast Realty – 0497 887 953.
ABOUT LAMB ISLAND
Lamb Island (Ngudooroo) is the second smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands with excellent fishing, kayaking, sailing and deep water moorings on our doorstep.
We have about 500 residents and a small community feel compared to the larger suburban islands Russell and Macleay. Most people come here for the peace and quiet. The 1km x 2 km island is small enough that it's not necessary to have a vehicle, and many residents walk, have bikes, scooters or use the community-run Lamb Van public transport. Get your local honey, freshly roasted coffee, organic gardening supplies, local artwork and handmade soap from some of the local small businesses on Lamb.
There are many groups and activities to keep you occupied, from Yoga and Pilates classes, Qi Gong, pickleball and tennis, community bushcare days, to trivia nights and pool competitions at the Rec Club.
We have town water (which comes from the aquifer below the great sand island North Stradbroke), electricity, NBN internet, public tennis court (with flood lighting for night tournaments!), playground, BBQ and netted swimming area, off-leash dog park, community garden, free rubbish dump, Rural Fire Brigade, Lamb Island Recreational Club/Bar and a small shop. Eat-in or takeaway meals can be had at the Recreation Club or Zac’s shop.
Woolworths deliver here every day of the week for a small delivery fee. There are essentials such as schools, post office, pharmacies, medical centres, hardware stores and cafes on the neighbouring islands Macleay and Russell which are a free 5 minute inter-island passenger ferry away.
We are just a 50c fare and 21 minute Translink passenger ferry ride to Redland Bay, Brisbane where there is limited free car parking and the Weinam Creek Development is in the pipeline. The vehicle barge now has a 50% subsidy for residents and is only approx $35 each way leaving from Redland Bay, Brisbane. The Island jetties have recently undergone a multi-million dollar major revamp with the addition of a recreational jetty for fishing and temporary mooring of tenders.
The islands are moving ahead and undergoing a building boom which is to be expected for a region only 50 mins to Brisbane City and 50 mins to the Gold Coast.
The secret's out and more people are discovering our beautiful islands and the unique lifestyle they offer.
